Unveiled at the March 2016 Geneva Show, the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso took pride of place as Ferrari’s new top-level grand touring model. Featuring chiseled Pininfarina-designed bodywork, bold frontal air extractors and V-12 power, the GTC4 Lusso left no doubt as to its glorious heritage. Delivering a 30 HP boost over the outgoing FF, the updated 6.3L V-12 powerplant of the GTC4 Lusso delivers 680 HP with 514 lb-ft of peak torque at 1,750 RPM. Blinding performance credentials include 0-62 MPH acceleration in 3.6 seconds and a 208 MPH terminal velocity.
Delivering this performance in the luxurious two-ton Lusso is a 7-speed, dual-clutch transmission with steering-wheel shift paddles. Perhaps most crucial are the Lusso’s vehicle dynamics systems, orchestrated by Ferrari engineer Stefano Varisco. Beginning with Ferrari’s patented 4RM1 Evo 2-speed 4-wheel drive system, the GTC4 Lusso also introduced the marque’s first rear-wheel steering system. In concert with updated Slip Slide Control, an electronic rear differential, SCNOE dampers and competition-derived Brembo brakes, the new-age Lusso offers exceptional control.
Befitting its market stature, the GTC4 Lusso provides a stunning combination of luxury and thoughtful amenities throughout, including fine leather upholstery, a 10.25-inch HD touch screen and Dual Cockpit architecture. Useful instrumentation and a competition-style steering wheel with fingertip controls greet the driver. Double-pane glass, additional sound deadening, useful luggage space and a full-length sunroof render the GTC4 Lusso ideal for fast and enjoyable cross-county jaunts.
While the GTC4 Lusso is already rare and exclusive, select Ferrari clients seeking greater distinction could order a bespoke example via Ferrari’s Tailor Made Collection. This one-of-one factory car was built to unique specifications honoring Ferrari’s winning Le Mans history. The 6.3L V-12 engine is paired with an automatic transmission, and the red exterior finish is enhanced by white stripes and No. 97 livery, plus Scuderia shields. The Blue Tailor Made Collection interior includes bucket seats, red Ferrari infant car seats and a black and red steering wheel with an F1-derived Manettino control dial. Air conditioning provides heightened comfort, and black-finished brake calipers reside behind a set of alloy wheels.
